Knife-point robbery victim rushed to hospital after stabbing in Brampton

One person is in hospital in serious condition after what police are calling a knife-point robbery in Brampton on Friday.
The stabbing happened around 2 p.m. near Ken Whillans Drive and Sproule Drive in Brampton, Peel Regional Police said.
Investigators say one person was robbed and suffered stab wounds in the altercation, and a spokesperson for Peel Paramedic Services confirms one person in serious condition was taken to a hospital in Toronto.
No additional details about the victim have been disclosed by police or paramedics, and no suspect information has been released.
Police say residents and drivers can expect to see a heavy police presence in the area while investigators are on scene, and are asking people to avoid the area if possible.
