Kids can explore fire trucks at a free open house in Mississauga

Kids can join a free, community fire open house in Mississauga.
The open house event comes just before fire prevention week, and falls on a school day off (Professional Learning Day) on Friday, Oct. 6, according to Mississauga Fire and Emergency Services.
Children can explore fire trucks and other emergency vehicles such as police cruisers and ambulances.
There are kids activities, booths, demonstrations and giveaways.
A grease fire demonstration is planned.
And there is a barbecue.
The free community event is from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Oct. 6 at the Garry W. Morden Centre, 7535 Ninth Line, Mississauga.
