Kick off the summer season with grand opening of splash pads in Brampton

You can keep your cool as the weather heats up this summer when the city opens splash pads across Brampton starting this weekend.

Brampton residents and visitors looking to beat the heat are invited to any of the city’s 18 splash pads and wadding pool on Saturday for a summer season kick-off event.

Starting on May 18, splash pads in Brampton will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. daily, weather permitting, as pads may be closed occur due to inclement weather, rain, or when temperatures drop below 20C.

The weather is expected to be sunny on Saturday with a high of 22 C feeling more like 24 C with the humidity.

  • Gage Park
  • ​Gore Meadows Community Centre
  • Jim Irons Park
  • Komagata Maru Park
  • Paul Palleschi Recreation Centre
  • Michael Murphy Park
  • Peel Village
  • Teramoto Park
  • Trincomalee Park

Residents are also reminded to play it safe near water and to always keep young children within arms’ reach and never swim alone. Young children should wear life jackets when swimming in pools or at the beach.
