‘Keeping Christ in Christmas’ the theme of Halton Catholic school board contest

Students from Milton, Burlington, Halton Hills and Oakville who attend the Halton Catholic District School Board are invited to take part in a contest that focuses on the meaning of Christmas.

The 10th annual Keeping Christ in Christmas contest presented by the Halton Catholic District School Board asks students to submit art on the theme which will be judged and then voted on.

Winners will receive a gift card worth $350.

Entrants can submit art in the following categories:

  • Visual artwork (drawing, painting, photography, collage, sculpture, 3D model, etc.)
  • Original song (new song written OR performed by student)
  • Short video (maximum length is 3 minutes, TikTok videos are also accepted!)
  • Short story or poem (up to 250 words)

Winners will be selected from the following student groups:

  • Primary (K-3)
  • Junior (4-6)
  • Intermediate (7-8)
  • Secondary (9-12)

All entries must be submitted to the school board by November 21.
