There are 19 new COVID-19 cases today in Niagara Region – exactly the same number as yesterday – but with 24 existing cases resolved, the region has dropped to 227 cases, the lowest in more than a month.

St. Catharines continues to lead the caseload with 62 existing but at second is Fort Erie with 46 and for the small community, that’s alarming. That means in the border town, there’s 14 cases for every 10,000 residents, by far the highest number in Niagara.

Niagara Falls is third with 38 cases followed by Welland and Lincoln who have 23 and 21 respectively.

The remaining seven municipalities run from a low of three cases each in Pelham and West Lincoln up to the eight cases in Niagara-on-the-Lake.
