Just four new COVID-19 cases in Niagara Region on Sunday

It was an up-and-down weekend for new COVID-19 cases in the Niagara Region as Saturday (October 23) saw 24 cases but Sunday saw a huge drop to just four, the lowest single-day number since early-August.

Regardless, the number of resolved cases aren’t coming quite so fast since as of yesterday, there was a total of 156 active cases in Niagara whereas it was as low as 122 last week.

Four municipalities remain in the double-digits with St. Catharines on top at 61 cases followed by Niagara Falls at 31. Grimsby follows them with 20 cases while Fort Erie has 10.

The remaining eight municipalities run between one case in Niagara-on-the-Lake up to eight cases in Thorold.
