Brampton artists continue to make their mark in the Canadian music industry, and the efforts of some have been recognized with a Juno Award.

The award ceremony is held annually to celebrate excellence, creativity, and outstanding achievements across all genres of Canadian music. Founded in 1971 and administered by the Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS), they serve as the Canadian equivalent to the Grammy Awards.

On Saturday night in Hamilton, two artists were recognized.

Rap single of the year went to TOBi, along with  Jully Black and Saukrates, for the song Who’s Driving You?

TOBi, born Oluwatobi Feyisara Ajibolade, attended St. Edmund Campion Secondary School in Brampton and has enjoyed a successful career, having previously won Juno Awards in 2021 and 2024.

Also receiving a Juno was Ikky, along with Karan Aujla, for South Asian music recording of the year for P-POP CULTURE.

Ikwinder Singh, known professionally as Ikky, is best known for his production work.
