You wanted great Sunday weather? You got it.
As June winds down, southern Ontario is finally getting what many have been waiting for: a beautifully warm day filled with sunshine.
According to Environment Canada, the morning will start off a little foggy, but the mist should clear by the time most people are enjoying their second cup of coffee.
Temperatures will steadily climb through the day, peaking at around 3 p.m. with highs of 28 C in Toronto, Mississauga, Oshawa, Hamilton, Niagara, Pickering and surrounding areas. With the humidex, it will feel more like 31 C.
As the sun sets, temperatures will gradually fall, dropping to about 15 C overnight—ideal sleeping weather if you’d rather give the air conditioner a break.
The comfortable conditions won’t last long, however.
The week ahead is expected to turn hot and humid, with daytime highs climbing above 30 C and feeling even warmer with the humidex. The heat is expected to stick around through Canada Day and continue into next weekend.
