June 24 weather: Cloudy skies with chance of showers in southern Ontario

Wednesday could bring mixed conditions and showers to the Greater Toronto Area and across southern Ontario.

Environment Canada says the morning will be sunny with a northwest wind blowing around 20 km/h in Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton, Hamilton, Oshawa and the Niagara Falls area.

Conditions will become increasingly cloudy in the afternoon with a high of around 25 C in Mississauga that could feel more like 27 C due to the humidity.

The UV index will be an 8 or “very high,” the weather agency says.

Wednesday night is expected to be cloudy across the GTA with a 30 per cent chance of showers overnight, and the low will be around 14 C in Mississauga.

Thursday’s forecast calls for cloudy skies with a 60 per cent chance of showers or thunderstorms in Mississauga and a high around 19 C. There’s also a 40 per cent chance of showers in the evening with a low of 13 C.
