June 19 weather: High near 25 C and wind gusts in southern Ontario

Friday’s forecast calls for temperatures that feel like 25 C and gusty winds in the Greater Toronto Area and southern Ontario.

Environment Canada says the morning will start sunny and change to a mix of sun and clouds in Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton and the Niagara Falls area.

Expect more cloud cover in the Hamilton and Oshawa areas, with winds gusting up to 50 km/h in the afternoon across southern Ontario. The daytime high will be around 24 C in Mississauga, but could feel more like 25 C due to the humidity.

Friday night could bring a mix of sun and clouds with wind gusts up to around 60 km/h in Mississauga. The overnight low will be around 13 C.

Looking ahead to the weekend, sunny skies are forecast for both Saturday and Sunday. Saturday is expected to see a high of 24 C and a low of 11 C, while Sunday will bring a high of 25 C and a low of 13 C for the first day of summer.
