Wednesday’s forecast calls for showers, thunderstorms and a high that feels like 35 C in the Greater Toronto Area and southern Ontario.
Environment Canada says the morning will be mainly cloudy with a 40 per cent chance of showers and a risk of thunderstorms in Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton, Hamilton, Oshawa and the Niagara Falls area.
Fog patches are possible in the morning, with winds blowing around 20 km/h.
The daytime high will be around 29 C in Mississauga, but could feel more like 35 C due to the humidity. Temperatures could drop to around 18 C near Lake Ontario.
Environment Canada issued a yellow weather alert for southwestern parts of the province, including Sarnia, Chatham-Kent, and Windsor, where temperatures could feel more like 40 C.
Conditions are expected to improve into the evening, with partly cloudy skies and a low of 21 C overnight.
Looking ahead to Thursday, a mix of sun and cloud is expected with a 60 per cent chance of showers and a high of 30 C during the day. The evening will be cloudy with a 30 per cent chance of showers and a low of 21 C.
