July 6 Weather: Mainly cloudy skies lead to afternoon showers in southern Ontario

It will likely be a grey, wet start to the weekend for Mississauga and southern Ontario.
Like most of this past week, once again there will be a strong threat of afternoon showers and a thunderstorm according to the latest weather forecast by Environment Canada.
Fog patches will dissipate in the morning ahead of a cloudy day that will feature a 60 percent chance of showers and the risk of a thunderstorm in the afternoon hours.
Winds will northwest at 20 km/h in the afternoon. The high during the day will be 26 degrees Celsius, but it will feel more like 33 degrees Celsius with the humidex.
The UV index will be 8 or very high.
The early evening will feature partly cloudy skies, with a 40 percent chance of showers and another risk of a thunderstorm. Winds will be northwest at 20 km/h becoming light in the evening.
Fog patches will develop overnight as a low of 17 degrees Celsius is expected.
There will be a couple of minutes less of daylight with the sun to rise at 5:44 a.m. in the morning and then set in the evening at 9:02 p.m. In total, there will be 15 hours and 18 minutes of daylight time.
