July 23 weather: High that feels like 30 C in southern Ontario

Thursday’s forecast calls for mixed conditions and a high that feels like 30 C in the Greater Toronto Area and southern Ontario.

Environment Canada says the morning will start sunny before turning into a mix of sun and clouds in Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton, Hamilton, Oshawa and the Niagara Falls area.

The daytime high will be around 26 C but could feel more like 27 C in Niagara Falls, 29 C in Oshawa and 30 C in Mississauga and Brampton due to the humidity. Wind gusts could reach up to around 23 km/h in Mississauga, according to The Weather Network.

Some parts of the province may see cooler temperatures of around 23 C that could feel more like 25 C due to the humidity, including London, Northern Peterborough County and Fenelon Falls.

The UV index will be 7 or “high,” Environment Canada says.

Thursday night is expected to bring partly cloudy skies in the evening and clearing before morning in Pickering, Oshawa and Niagara Falls. The overnight low will be around 13 C. The seasonal normal for this time of year is between 15 C and 27 C, Environment Canada says.

Friday is expected to be sunny with a high of 26 C and a low of 16 C before accounting for the humidity.

Wet weather could return on the weekend with a mix of sun and clouds, a high of 27 C and a 30 per cent chance of showers on Saturday. Sunday will bring a 40 per cent chance of showers during the day and a 30 per cent chance in the evening, with a high of 28 C and a low of 17 C.
