Sunshine and warm temperatures will take hold across southern Ontario on Sunday, creating ideal conditions for everything from patio dining to trips to the beach.
Those hoping to catch a beautiful sunrise while enjoying their favourite warm beverage will be in luck, as Sunday’s 5:44 a.m. sunrise will arrive under clear skies.
Mississauga, Brampton, Halton, Hamilton and Durham will all enjoy sunny skies throughout the day. Highs will reach 29 C in Mississauga, Brampton and Durham, while Halton and Hamilton climb to 28 C. Humidex values will make it feel between 30 and 32 across the region.
The UV index is expected to reach 8, or very high, across Mississauga, Brampton, Halton, Hamilton and Durham. Environment Canada recommends taking precautions when the UV index reaches 3 or higher, including wearing sunscreen, sunglasses and protective clothing, and limiting prolonged sun exposure during peak afternoon hours.

By evening, clear skies will continue across Mississauga, Brampton, Halton, Hamilton and Durham. Temperatures will fall to a comfortable 15 C overnight.
