Mississauga is putting out the call to people who want to work at the city’s main multi-purpose sports and entertainment complex.
A one-day job fair will be held on July 23 as the City of Mississauga looks to hire more than 150 new people to work in various positions at the Mississauga Sports and Entertainment Centre.
The event is split into two sessions — noon to 4 p.m., then 6 to 9 p.m. — at the large facility, which is located at 5500 Rose Cherry Place and was formerly called the Paramount Fine Foods Centre and before that the Hershey Centre.
Those interested in attending can create a “candidate profile” in advance of the job fair.
More than 150 positions including licensed servers, cooks, kitchen helpers and concession coordinator attendants are available, the city said on Monday, adding it’s seeking “hospitality professionals” to join the team at the major sports and entertainment venue.
Job fair organizers noted the event offers those who attend the opportunity to be hired on the spot.
“Interested candidates can meet with hiring managers, participate in pre-screening and interviews, and begin the hiring process that day,” city officials said.
- OMERS-defined benefit pension.

The Mississauga Sports and Entertainment Centre features a wide range of indoor and outdoor facilities designed to support sports, recreation and large events, the city said.
Facilities include an indoor main spectator arena used for sports, concerts and major events, and which serves as the home of the Raptors 905 of the NBA G League, the official affiliate of the Toronto Raptors.
The venue once served as home of the Ontario Hockey League’s former club, Mississauga Steelheads, prior to that franchise moving north to Brampton in 2024.
The centre also includes three additional ice rinks for hockey and skating, a full-size indoor artificial turf field that can be configured into multiple field sizes and a triple gymnasium for sports such as basketball and volleyball, as well as a gymnastics centre and fitness centre.
