Halton Regional Police have arrested two moving company workers after a family reported $17,000 worth of jewelry was missing after a move.

Police say on Jan. 27 the company was hired to move items from a residence on Philip St. in Burlington to another house.

Once the move was made the family found that two boxes of expensive jewelry were missing.

After investigating, two suspects were identified and arrests were made on Jan. 30.

Charged with theft over $5,000 is Leerue Bucknor, 37, of Burlington and Zachari Wadham, 27, of Hamilton.

They have since been released from custody with a promise to return to future court dates.

Police say all of the jewelry items were recovered and returned to the family.
