The Victoria Day long weekend will start out with some summer-like heat for Mississauga and Brampton before giving way to cooler temperatures on Sunday and Monday.

As for temperatures, Friday will kick off the weekend with an expected high of 30 degrees Celsius, feeling like 37 C. It’s expected to be sunny with some clouds, and a low risk of rain.

The heat continues on Saturday with a call for a high of 29 C (feeling like 35 C), but with some rain expected to be part of things in some areas of Mississauga and Brampton.

For Sunday, the forecast is cloudy with 2-4mm of rain expected and a daytime high of 18 C. The temperature is expected to fall to 7 C overnight.

Monday is expected to see a high of 17 C with mostly sunny skies.

Temperatures in the teens are expected to remain through the middle of next week before rising into the low 20s for the following week or so.

Overall, weather experts say, long weekend temperatures across Ontario and the country are anticipated to be more fall-like than summer-like.
