A family-run Italian restaurant is closing after decades in Brampton with plans to open a new location in the future.
“It has been a privilege for our family to serve you all for so many years,” reads a post on social media from That Italian Place in Brampton. “We truly value the trust you gave us to be your go-to Italian spot for the past two decades.”
The family restaurant in Brampton was opened by Gino Fuda in 2006 and got its start as a catering company in Mississauga.
The menu includes “authentic Southern Italian family recipes” made with daily fresh ingredients for “a taste and quality which many have come to call home,” the restaurant says.
But That Italian Place will close its doors at 470 Chrysler Dr. in Brampton for the last time on May 30, the restaurant says. Catering services will continue, and That Italian Place says they are looking to open a new location in a yet-to-be-determined spot.
“It has been a privilege for our family to serve you all for so many years. We truly value the trust you gave us to be your go to Italian spot for the past two decades,” That Italian Place said on social media, adding that they will be ready for the fall catering season.
You can visit That Italian Place in Brampton at 470 Chrysler Dr. until May 30, or check them out on social media. The restaurant is open Monday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., and on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Editor’s note: an earlier version of this story said the restaurant was opened by Gino Fuda and Paul Fuda.
