Iraqi street food restaurant set to open in Mississauga

An Iraqi street food restaurant is set to open its doors in Mississauga early next year.

Alforat Iraqi Street Food, a restaurant that already has one location in Toronto, is set to open a second location at 3460 Platinum Dr.

The restaurant has amassed thousands of followers on their social media accounts, which showcase some of their signature dishes.

Along with sandwiches, wraps and platters, Alforat’s menu features items such as kababs, shawarma, falafel, chicken on the rocks, quzi, BBQ and more.

It also offers several vegetarian options including the veggie plate and mix wrap with hummus, garlic, lettuce, pickles and tomatoes.

Appetizers on the menu include eggplant, jajeek, hummus, olives, potato and peas and salad.

There are also various options for sides including regular or biryani rice, skewers, samoon, tanoor, lamb stew, lentil soup and more.

A representative from Alforat Iraqi Street Food told insauga.com that the restaurant is set to open on Jan. 15, 2023.
