Two days after gunshots cracked the nighttime silence of an Oshawa subdivision investigators have uncovered little evidence to explain the crime.

Shots rang out on Hill Rise Ct, a residential street to the northeast of Simcoe St and Britannia Ave, shortly before 10:45 p.m. on March 23. No one was reported injured in the shooting.

Police arrived on scene shortly after and searched the area. The investigators found shell casings, but not much else. There is no suspect description available.

DRPS confirmed via social media their investigation continued into the next morning with a search in daylight.

Durham police are asking the public to submit any security or dashcam footage they may have of the area at the time of the shots.

Anyone with new information pertinent to the investigation can call Det. Ormonde at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 1827 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
