The community is invited to join the Town of Halton Hills and Credit Valley Conservation (CVC) for an invasive species pull later this month.

The event will take place on Aug. 24 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Hungry Hollow Ravine and aims to remove invasive species along the path that are out-competing native plants that wildlife depend on.

Attendees are encouraged to wear comfortable pants with socks, a hat and sunscreen. Additionally, they’re encouraged to bring water, snacks or a lunch. All required equipment such as waders will be provided.

Those who are interested in attending are being asked to register by Aug. 22 and those under the age of 18 require a signed copy of the event waiver.

Volunteers are being asked to meet at the end of Metcalfe Court. The closest address is 65 Metcalfe Court in Georgetown.
