A lot of zeroes added up to a big haul of cash for a Mississauga Instant Ticket lottery player…that’s because the four zeroes followed the number five.

Sheryl Williams, 58, says she is used to playing Instant Win tickets, but not used to winning. When she realized she won $50,000, it changed her life.

“I was sitting in the living room with my family playing my tickets when I thought I won $50,” says Williams. “Then I thought to myself, ‘that’s a lot zeroes’ and I was starstruck!”

A GO Bus operator by day, Williams says her family is still in disbelief but believes a trip to the spa once the pandemic ends will help ease her into the transition of having a few extra dollars in the bank.

She says she also plans to share some of her new found wealth.

“I’ve had a smile on my face since finding out about this win,” she says.

The winning ticket was purchased at J & H Flower Convenience on Lakeshore Rd. in Mississauga.
