Update: Industrial fire shuts down road in busy part of Mississauga

Update 6 p.m: The roadway is now open once again.
Firefighters are battling an industrial blaze that erupted late this morning in Mississauga’s east end.
Peel Regional Police said via social media that Haines Road in both directions, between The Queensway East and Middlegate Road, has been shut down to traffic while the fire is brought under control.
Police didn’t say where, specifically, the fire broke out. They received the call just after 11:30 a.m.
The area is located just east of Cawthra Road.
