Incredible 2 lottery wins in one month for lucky Brampton man

Lightning has struck twice for Brampton’s newest millionaire with two Lotto Max wins.
Ryaan Othman is a self-employed man from Brampton who has been playing the lottery off and on for several years.
Othman said he was buying a Lotto Max ticket recently when he decided to add an Encore pick at the last minute. That split-second decision has paid off by adding to a $1 million dollar pay out, bringing his one-day win total to $1,000,0007.
“I checked my ticket on the OLG App and my jaw dropped,” he said while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto. “I was speechless for at least three minutes. I knew the odds of this happening were slim, but for it to happen twice is out of this world.”
The $1 million win in the Jan. 17 Lotto Max draw is Othman’s second big prize, as he also won $180,000 with Lotto Max in December.
Othman says he called his girlfriend to tell her about the win and she started crying.

The Brampton man says he plans to invest his win and spoil himself with some travel.
“I feel like I am on top of the world,” he said.
Encore offers 22 ways to win and can be played in conjunction with most lottery games for an extra $1. There is an Encore draw every day.
The OLG is booking in-person prize claim appointments at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto, with prize winners between $1,000 and $49,999.90 encouraged to submit their claims online or mail them.
