In Real Life: The old-school way of printing in Oakville

This letterpress print studio in Oakville is the only place of its kind left in Ontario!

Episode 1 of In Real Life, a new insauga series showcasing unique local stories, features Passion Letterpress, a family-owned and operated letterpress print studio in Oakville, Ontario.

Andy Ribau, owner of Passion Letterpress, left the traditional world of corporate printing to pursue the ‘old-school’ way of printing.

“There’s craftsmanship to it, there’s a process behind it… it’s a hands-on thing and there’s still people that appreciate that,” Ribau says.

With eight working letterpress machines on-site, this is the way printing was done before computers.
