New e-waste recycling options are coming to Brampton!

If you are need of disposing e-waste, then you may want to visit the two new Electrobac locations in Brampton.

The young Montreal-based company currently operates 260 Electrobacs across Quebec and Ontario in locations like grocery stores, shopping centres, office buildings, schools and more. People can recycle small electronics such as cellphones, tablets, chargers, cameras, ink cartridges, USB keys, and over 100 other types of small electronics in the Electrobac.

“Considering that recycling 44 cellphones have the same impact as removing a car off the road for a full year, the environmental impact of e-waste is major. Additionally, because it is the fastest growing waste stream globally, recycling electronics is becoming increasingly important,” says the company.

Electrobac aims to reduce the number of end-of-life electronics that end up in landfills. All small electronic devices collected in Electrobacs are sent to local RQO certified recyclers, which are then reused in the production of new products or destroyed in an extensive data destruction process.

Electrobac also offers large companies to dispose of their corporate mobile devices including destroying all sensitive data on the electronic.

The two Brampton locations include Air Canada Operations Centre (99 Ironbridge Rd) and Shoppers World Brampton (499 Main St S).
