An impaired driver faces charges after he was seen getting stuck in a Clarington snowbank.

According to Durham Regional Police, they got a call from a witness who saw a Black Buick sedan crash into the snowbank near Townline Rd. and Kingsway Gt. right on the border between Clarington and Oshawa.

The Buick ended up stuck in the snow shortly after 1 a.m. on Feb 7. It didn’t stay there long though, the driver was able to work the Buick free and drive away.

Police soon responded and found the Buick. They pulled the driver over for a traffic stop and found him to be impaired.

As a result a Clarington man, 42, was arrested and faces several charges including impaired driving.
