Toronto cops have unveiled an unidentified suspect in the murder of Peter Oscar Khan, the Ajax man gunned down in Scarborough last weekend.

Khan and another man were in a plaza parking lot near Morningside Ave and Sheppard Ave E around 3 a.m. May 7. Someone opened fire on the pair inflicting life-threatening injuries to Khan and serious injuries to the other man.

The pair were rushed to hospital where Khan, 36, succumbed to his wounds.

Khan’s murder is the 25th in Toronto this year and comes just a day after the 24th victim (Robert Racz, 30 of Toronto) died of injuries sustained in an altercation from March 11.

This is also the second shooting death of a man from Ajax in Scarborough in the last six months after Abdulmoaize Popal, 23, was killed in a drive-by in November.

In a later Toronto police update investigator announced a suspect description and revealed some security stills of him and a car.

The man is described as Black, 5’6″ with a slim build. He was wearing a light coloured surgical mask, shiny black puffer jacket with the hood up, light coloured pants, and black running shoes. The car is a white Nissan sedan.

Police consider the suspect armed and dangerous. They advise residents not to approach him under any circumstance, but to call 911 if he is seen.

Anyone with information pertinent to the investigation can call Toronto police at 416-808-7400 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-8477 (TIPS).
