Niagara Regional Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a person on an ATV connected to a property damage investigation at a Beamsville brewing company.

Between the hours of 5:10 a.m. and 5:35 a.m. on May 26, 2024, an unidentified suspect on a dark coloured ATV drove on the Bench Brewing Company property, located at 3991 King Street in the Town of Lincoln, and spread a liquid that killed a large amount of grass.

The damaged grass cost an estimated $7,000 to replace.

Police allege a surveillance video showed the suspect and the ATV were equipped with a liquid distribution tank.

The ATV was then spotted travelling south on Maple Grove Road around 5:10 a.m. and north on Maple Grove Road at approximately 5:35 a.m.

Police are asking residents in the area to review their surveillance/dash cameras for any footage that may be of assistance.

A similar incident occurred in the early morning hours at the Bench Brewing Company on August 1, 2023 occurred between 2:58 a.m. and 3:03 a.m.

The 2023 incident resulted in damages of approximately $50,000 to repair the damaged grass.

The investigation remains open.

The suspect was wearing all black clothing and a black helmet with a face shield. The four-wheel ATV appears to be grey or green in colour with three headlights and with a large herbicide container/sprayer attached to the rear.

The tank is not permanently affixed.

Niagara police are asking the public review the pictures (above and below the story) in an effort to identify the suspect.
