Identity of newspaper thief in Burlington sought by police

Halton Regional Police are looking to identify a man who stole newspapers from a Burlington convenience store.

In the early hours of May 12, 2022, the male went to Betsy Mart, located at 437 Brock Avenue, before the store was open and after the newspapers were delivered.

Police say the man grabbed the bundle of delivered newspapers before retreating to the side or rear of the store where he was out of the camera’s view.

He then proceeded to remove multiple newspapers from the bundle or simply took the whole bundle.

Police describe the male as being in his 60s. He is six-feet-tall and weighs approximately 190 pounds.
