Mississauga residents can start signing up early next Monday morning (Aug. 14) for hundreds of recreational, sports and cultural programs to be offered this coming fall and winter and during March break 2024.

City of Mississauga officials said in a news release today (Aug. 8) that online registration for the many programs gets underway at 6 a.m. on Aug. 14 and spaces will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Swimming lessons, sports activities, fitness and therapeutic classes in addition to numerous other classes including music, dance and adult arts sessions are all available to those interested in signing up.

For those who do not live in Mississauga, online registration begins one week later, on Aug. 21 at 6 a.m.

Officials note that people may also sign up for the various classes and programs in person at community centres across the city.

Those interested can preview the various classes available on the City’s website this week so they can more quickly make decisions starting on registration day next Monday.

City officials note that in addition to popular sports programs, Mississauga also offers memberships for residents who seek additional flexibility. Virtual fitness classes are now included in the “All-in” membership as well, they say.

“Regardless of what your hobbies are, there is something for everyone in Mississauga. Children, youth, adults and seniors can all benefit from recreation and culture programming,” City officials say.

Classes in some programs begin as early as Sept. 23.
