Hundreds of public school staff remain unvaccinated in Burlington, Oakville, Milton

More than 200 staff at the Halton District School board remain unvaccinated against COVID-19.

As per provincial regulations, the board updated its vaccination attestation chart on Dec. 3.

Of the 6,952 full-time board employees, 6,646 (95.6 per cent) are fully vaccinated, nine are partially vaccinated and 14 have a documented medical exemption.

Sixty employees have not submitted an attestation form and may include staff on long term or parental leave.

That leaves 223 people who are unvaccinated, about 3.2 per cent. According to board policy, they must submit regular negative COVID-19 tests to enter the workplace.

The board did not break down the unvaccinated by job or title.
