Human remains found near Cannington, Durham police assisting investigation

Durham Region police and Kawartha Lakes OPP are investigating the discovery of human remains near Cannington in Brock Township.

The remains were found around 6 p.m. Monday night on The Glen Road, about five km east of Cannington across the border into Kawartha Lakes.

Police cordoned off the area between Mcindoos Cemetery and Highway 46 for the investigation.

There are no concerns for public safety. Police said last night they would provide further updates when more information is available.
