The First Ontario Arts Centre Milton has announced its 2018-19 season, which kicks off this fall and there’s a lot to look forward to.

The Sept. 20 launch party will see a performance by the Grammy-nominated trio, The Wilkinsons, best knowns for tracks such as 26 Cents and Jimmy’s Got a Girlfriend. Tickets are $10.
This year’s line-up has Canada’s most celebrated artists.
Isn’t this exciting that they’re coming on a local stage?!
The headlining artists include four-time Juno award-winner Raine Maida and two-time winner Chantal Kreviazuk on Nov. 3 at 8 p.m.
Matthew Good will perform hits on March 8, 2019, drawing from his 20 years in the music industry.

There’s also Afro-Jazz music to tune to by Juno and Grammy nominated Cuban-Canadian singer/songwriter Adonis Puentes and his band, who’ll be perfomring at the Mattamy Theatre.
There’s something for ’90s fans too.
I Mother Earth and Finger Eleven are bringing their alternative rock songs from their gold and platinum albums on Jan. 18, 2019.
Solo artist and member of Styx, Gowan is set to perform his blend of pop and progressive rock. And, he will perform his hits Criminal Mind and (You’re A) Strange Animal.
But if music is not your style, and you’d rather have a laugh, Ali Hassan is making a local debut.
Host of CBC radio’s Laugh Out Loud, the stand-up comedian, Hassan will perform his one-person show Muslim Interrupted on Oct. 12 at 8 p.m.
If improv comedy is what tickles you more, The Upright Citizen Brigade Touring Company, which is known to have produced alumni such as Horatio Sanz, Amy Poehler and Ed Helms, is also on the schedule.
For your young ones to stay entertained, there’s Pete the Cat: The Musical. The whole family is sure to get a laugh from it.
Who doesn’t love a good ol’ magic show? Try understanding what is possible as magicians Mike D’Urzo and Ray Chance challenge each other.
And watch A Very Electric Christmas later this year and get awed by dazzling light costumes combined with holiday classic music, dancing and puppetry – all in all a captivating performance by Lightwire Theatre, who were finalists on America’s Got Talent.
The Centre will also showcase some of the best cultural artists across the globe. So, there’s something for world music fans too.
The Outside Track’s song-and-dance performance is a melodious blend of fiddle, accordion, harp, guitar, whistle, step-dance and vocals.Irish-born Canadian folk singer Irish Mythen will make her Milton debut as well, after having played in Europe and Australia.
