Huge waterpark, hotel complex could be coming just outside of Mississauga in Halton Hills

A massive new entertainment complex across the road from Toronto Premium Outlets in Halton Hills is one step closer to becoming a reality.
Premier Gateway Entertainment Complex, is a proposed entertainment area containing a waterpark, eight-storey hotel, convention centre, spa, restaurants and flying theatre on the northeast corner of Steeles Ave. and Eighth Line N. in the Premier Gateway Employment Area of Halton Hills.
Halton Hills councillors watched a presentation by the developers that outlined the plans and some of the timelines. The project has been worked on for several year in conjunction with officials from the Town of Halton Hills, region and province.
Town staff recommended the adoption of the necessary Official Plan amendments, as long as they meet all regulatory conditions, and local councillors agreed, sending the issue for final approval at the June 19 meeting.
The new entertainment centre is close by major population centres like Mississauga, Brampton, Oakville and Burlington.
The waterpark would be more convenient for those residents than heading to Wet ‘N’ Wild in Brampton, Canada’s Wonderland or Niagara Falls’ Great Wolf Lodge or Skyline Hotel and Waterpark.
