Huge entertainment centre to open at Sherway Gardens in Toronto

Toronto is getting a huge new bowling alley and entertainment centre.

CF Sherway Gardens announced that Splitsville Bowl is coming soon.

“We’re thrilled to announce that Splitsville Bowl is coming to CF Sherway Gardens,” the mall said on social media.

The location will include 22 lanes of 10-pin bowling, an interactive arcade, food and beverages and event spaces, Sherway Gardens said in a post on social media.

Splitsville Bowl will occupy the former Nordstrom location on the main level of the mall, CF Sherway Gardens general manager Sheila Jennings told INsauga.com. Nordstrom closed all of its Canadian stores in 2023.

The flagship Splitsville Bowl is slated to open in fall 2027, Sherway Gardens said.

“We can’t wait to welcome the Splitsville team and bring this vibrant experience to CF Sherway Gardens,” the social media post read. “Stay tuned for more details as we get closer to the grand opening.”

Under the U.K.-based parent company Hollywood Bowl Group plc, Splitsville Canada has been expanding across the country.

As of May this year, the company operated 16 locations across Canada, according to a story in Retail Insider.

In southern Ontario, there are Splitsville Bowl locations in Burlington, Guelph, Woodbridge, Hamilton, Richmond Hill and Waterloo.

There are plans to open locations in Pickering (fall 2026), Barrie (fall 2026) and Woodbine (2027).

Some Splitsville locations include laser tag (Burlington) and mini-golf (select locations).

Unlike bowling alleys from the past, Splitsville allows players to wear their own shoes.

“Yes, we prefer everyone (adults and children) to bowl in their own shoes at our centres, as long as they are clean, dry, flat-soled shoes,” Splitsville says on its website.

All open-toed footwear, however, including Crocs and slides, is not allowed for safety reasons.
