Huge COVID-19 vaccine clinic permanently closing but still several options in Mississauga and Brampton

A large COVID-19 vaccine clinic in Brampton is closing but there are still options for residents in Mississauga and Brampton to get the shot.

The vaccination clinic at Save Max Sports Centre (formerly the Brampton Soccer Centre) in Brampton closes permanently on Jan. 4, according to the Region of Peel.

The centre opened in the spring of 2021 with a capacity of 7,800 people—making it one of the largest-capacity clinics in Peel —and it was open seven days per week.

People can still get a first, second, and booster dose if eligible and Peel Public Health clinics offer the vaccine by appointment or walk-in. The vaccines are free and you do not need a health card.

The following public health clinics still offer COVID-19 vaccines:

Region of Peel main office, 10 Peel Centre Drive, Brampton

  • Jan. 5 to 6, 1 to 8 p.m.
  • Jan. 7, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Starting Jan. 10 regular hours resume – Tuesday to Friday, 1 to 8 p.m., Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Sheridan Centre, 2225 Erin Mills Parkway, Mississauga

  • Jan. 3 to 6, 1 to 8 p.m.
  • Jan. 7,10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Starting Jan. 10 regular hours resume – Tuesday to Friday, 1 to 8 p.m., Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5

Region of Peel Mississauga office, 7120 Hurontario St., Mississauga

  • Jan. 3 to 6, 1 to 8 p.m.
  • Jan. 7, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Starting Jan. 10 regular hours resume – Tuesday to Friday, 1 to 8 p.m., Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Pharmacies and primary health care providers can also administer the vaccine.

Homebound residents who live in Peel and cannot physically leave their home to receive the vaccine can complete this form to book an appointment.
