A huge, three-day food festival returns to Mississauga this weekend.
The Canadian Halal Exhibition, a landmark three-day festival celebrating culture, community, and the halal lifestyle, is back, organizer Night Market Toronto announced.
Building on last year’s success, the exhibition includes over 20 halal food vendors, including fan favourites Funnel Cake Food Trucks, The Dumpling Chef and Mad Bird Hot Chicken.
Live performances include a pet show, a bubble mania show, a West African drum show and Montreal’s Beat Komanders.
Two-time Juno award winner, Nemahsis, will attend for a meet-and-greet on Saturday, June 13, from 5 to 6 p.m.
Families can enjoy all-day access to amusement rides built for every age, and there is a marketplace vendor section.
Over 20,000 attendees are expected across the three days.
“CHE is about culture, community, and connection,” said Night Market Toronto. “The exhibition marks a shift toward a high-impact, immersive experience that brings together the diverse and growing halal-conscious population, and what better place to start than Mississauga, a city that reflects the diversity and vibrancy of our audience.”
The event is at Mississauga Sports & Entertainment Centre, 5500 Rose Cherry Place, and is free to attend, but registration at www.nightmarkettoronto.com is requested.
It’s on Friday, June 12 ( 5 p.m. to 11 p.m), Saturday, June 13 (2 p.m. to 10 p.m.), and Sunday, June 14 ( 2 p.m. – 10 p.m.).
