Hudson’s Bay products are set to make a return to Canada this week, just a few months after HBC stores shut down.
The Canadian Tire Corporation (CTC) previously announced that it will be bringing back “one of the country’s most beloved brands with the launch of its first Hudson’s Bay Stripes collection.”
Earlier this year, CTC acquired the brand assets of Hudson’s Bay after all Hudson’s Bay stores shut down.
“Available in-store only at Canadian Tire retail stores across Canada beginning Dec. 5, 2025, the limited-edition holiday capsule marks the brand’s debut under CTC’s stewardship,” a news release said.
It will feature products like the Hudson’s Bay Point Blanket, classic striped ornaments, as well as home and lifestyle pieces like bedding, knitwear, totes and espresso sets. The company said availability will vary by store.
“The stripes have been part of Canada’s story for generations and we’re excited to offer this limited-edition capsule,” said Eva Salem, SVP of marketing and brand at Canadian Tire.
“We’ve partnered with the same long-standing vendors to ensure the quality, craftsmanship, and authenticity customers have come to expect from the stripes, resulting in a meticulously selected limited collection.”
Canadian Tire said this will be the “first milestone” in its “plan to revitalize and grow the Hudson’s Bay stripes brand.”
The company said it’s also inviting Canadians to share their thoughts on the future of the Hudson’s Bay brand under Canadian Tire by participating in its social media campaign on Instagram.
