How police interact with Black community topic of Black History Month webinar for viewers in Oakville, Burlington, Milton

Halton police will be among the voices at the Black Mentorship Inc.’s (BMI) Black History Month event for residents of Oakville, Burlington, Milton and Halton Hills.

Titled Blue and Black, the virtual webinar will bring together members of BMI and police leaders from Halton, Peel, Hamilton and Toronto.

Panelists will discuss such topics as:

  • What will the police do to rebuild trust with communities?
  • Finding way to connect police and the Black community
  • How will policing be delivered and overseen?

BMI is a Halton organization dedicated to the empowerment of Black Professionals in Canada. BMI fosters leadership by connecting Black youths, professionals and entrepreneurs at different stages of professional growth with industry experts through a unique mentoring program. BMI exists to elevate professional advancement through mentorship, education, and skills-building, thus building a better, more equitable workforce.
