House fire in Mississauga.

Firefighters and police are on the scene of a house fire in Mississauga’s south end early Thursday afternoon.

Peel Regional Police said no injuries were reported as a result of the blaze, which broke out at a home in the Atwater Avenue/Canterbury Road area, a couple of blocks west of Cawthra Road and south of the QEW, at around 11:30 a.m.

The fire has been put out and there’s no word yet on what caused the blaze.

Police added road closures and other lane obstructions are in effect in the area to allow room for the fire trucks and other equipment. They urge drivers in the vicinity to use alternate routes.
Fire officials are investigating.
