Mississauga has been a hotspot for large lottery jackpots in 2021.

Data made available by the Ontario Lottery Corporation (OLG) shows that prizes of over $10,000 have been sold at 48 Mississauga locations since March 1 of this year.

June was the luckiest month with several big prizes claimed.

The biggest wins in Mississauga during this time period have been $1 million which have been sold at the following locations:

  • Kim’s Convenience, 75 Watline Ave. (Lotto Max, June 8)
  • Rabba, 2090 Hurontario St. (Lotto Max, June 18)
  • Starsky Fine Foods, 2040 Dundas St. E. (Lotto Max, June 8)
  • Terry Fox Convenience, 5390 Terry Fox Way (Lotto Max, June 4)

As well, four $500,000 prizes have been sold in Mississauga since March 1.

  • Clarkson Convenience, 1575 Clarkson Rd. N. (50,000 Jackpot card)
  • Rexall Roseborough Centre, 1240 Eglinton Ave. W. (Lotto Max, June 15)
  • Stop & Go Food Market, 2901 Eglinton Ave. W. (Lotto Max, June 22)
  • Westdale Mall kiosk, 7205 Goreway Dr. (Lotto Max, June 14)

Mississauga stores also sold nine prizes of over $100,000 during the time period.

Interestingly, the data shows that purchase locations are varied with convenience stores, gas stations and shopping centre kiosks all spreading the wealth around.

As well, while some locations indicate multiple winners, again, it doesn’t appear to be a trend at any particular store.

Tickets for the biggest prizes this year in Ontario have been sold outside of major metropolitan areas.

  1. $70,000,000.00 – Sold at Mayer Service, located at 62 David Street N. in Noelville, on February 26
  2. $65,000,000.00 – Sold at Marinas Express Mart, located at 19659 Leslie Street in Sharon, on July 6
  3. $50,000,000.00 – Sold at Canadian Tire Gas Bar, located at 1101 Ontario Street in Stratford, on March 16
