That person knocking on your door looking for a donation may be a fundraiser for Joesph Brant Hospital.
The hospital’s foundation has launched the door-to-door campaign to raise funds for ongoing programs and services.
Canvassers are looking for residents to commit a month donation that will going towards hospital needs that are not covered by government funding such as the purchase of equippment.
“Making a monthly donation is a simple but powerful way of supporting the critical needs of our hospital,” said Ashley Davidson, President & CEO of the Joseph Brant Hospital Foundation. “This ongoing support is vital to providing the equipment and tools our caregivers need to care for our patients.”
To carry out the campaign, the hospital is partnering with Globalfaces, one of Canada’s largest door-to-door fundraising services.
“Globalfaces uses a team of professionals, who go through a rigorous training program so that they are well-informed about Joseph Brant Hospital and our programs, as well as our statement of purpose and values,” according to the hospital.
Canvassers will be wearing Joseph Brant Hospital Foundation apparel and a lanyard with an identification badge. Fundraisers won’t ask or accept cash or cheques at the door. Instead, the will use electronic tablets with encrypted software to collect payment information in a secure way.
