Homicide investigation underway after woman found dead in St. Catharines

Police are investigating the death of a woman found in St. Catharines today (June 26).

Around 3:00 a.m., officers were called to a residence in the area of Church Street and Queenston Street.

“When officers arrived, they located an adult female inside the residence who was subsequently pronounced deceased,” police said.

The circumstances of her death have not yet been disclosed.

The Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) Homicide Unit is investigating.

At this time, police and NRPS Forensics remain at the scene.
