The real estate market might be cooling in Mississauga but there are still stunning homes available that are selling for over the asking price.
A home in the Lorne Park area of Mississauga, at 965 Raintree Lane, sold for $302,000 over the asking price recently. The four-bedroom house was put on the market June 23 for $999,999 and sold in just five days for $1,302,000.
And further evidence of the skyrocketing home prices is the more than double increase in 10 years. The last time the home was on the market in 2011, it sold for just $483,000.
This brick home looks fairly average on the outside. But inside there is a modern an open concept kitchen and dining room with a view to a forested lot.
The home comes with three bathrooms, and three bedrooms upstairs and an additional bedroom in the basement. There is also space for a small home gym.
The best feature of this home, however, it the west-facing, all-season sunroom. The glass atrium lets in tons of light.
The location is also a perk — just a short walk to a sandy beach on Lake Ontario. So perhaps it’s no surprise this home sold for over the asking price.
