Home invasion in Halton Hills has police searching for suspects

Halton police are looking for a pair of suspects who committed a daring, daylight robbery in Halton Hills earlier this week.

On Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2023, two suspects knocked on the door of a home in the area of Trafalgar Road and 5 Side Road shortly after noon. One of the suspects was wearing an orange reflective vest and asked if the resident had time to complete a survey.

The resident of the home declined and the suspect pulled out a handgun and demanded to know where any jewelry in the house may be. The two suspects then entered the home in search of valuables and took items including watches and a cell phone. The suspects then left in a dark coloured sedan.

Police recovered the stolen vehicle used in the robbery in Peel Region, however, no arrests have been made.

The first suspect is described as a black male in his early 20s. He is approximately 6-foot to 6-foot-2 with a thin build. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, orange construction vest and a white surgical mask.

Suspect two is described as a black male in his early 20s. He is approximately 5-foot-3 with a thin build. He was wearing a white hooded sweatshirt and a black medical mask.

The resident of the home was not physically injured as a result of the robbery.

Police urge anyone to report any suspicious activity to police immediately.
