HOLD and SECURE: ‘Suspicious person’ leads to hold and secure at Mississauga school

A Mississauga school was locked down this afternoon.
Edenwood Middle School in Meadowvale was put on a hold and secure (lockdown) as a precaution today, Peel Regional Police said on X (formerly Twitter) around 2:15 p.m. today (Nov. 30).
Police in the area were investigating a suspicious person unrelated to the school.
There were no further details provided but just after 3 p.m. police lifted the hold and secure.
