Update: The hold and secure has been lifted. Police say their investigation has concluded and the hold and secure was a precautionary measure.
A police investigation near Timothy Christian School in Hamilton Tuesday afternoon has led to hold and secure measures being placed on the reform school.
The measure was enacted at around 12 p.m. after police say a “contained situation” was being investigated at a home in the area of Franklin Rd and East 24th St.
Timothy Christian School is located on East 25th near Mohawk Rd. and Upper Sherman.
“This is an external situation unrelated to the school,” issued Hamilton Police in a tweet.

Hold and secure measures are different than a lockdown. Hold and secure is typically a response to a threat or incident in the general vicinity of a school, but not on or very near to school property.
More to come.
