Hockey superstar Jaromir Jagr heads to Mississauga with other sports legends

Hockey superstar Jaromir Jagr will join a cast of other sports legends this weekend at the Sport Card Expo returns to Mississauga.

Jagr will be the featured autograph guest at the show on Saturday, June 4 at the International Centre in Malton which starts on Friday and runs through Sunday.

Along with Jagr the other featured autograph guest is Teoscar Hernandez of the Toronto Blue Jays.

Hockey stars will make up the bulk of those signing all weekend with players such as Bobby Hull, Curtis Joseph, Frank Mahovlich, Bob Gainey, Kevin Stevens, Mark Recchi, Doug Gilmour, Bad Park, Bernie Parent, Billy Smith also appearing. Jagr has had a professional hockey career that has spanned 33 professional seasons and includes stints with the Pittburgh Penguins, Philadelphia Flyers and Boston Bruins. He has scored the secon most points in NHL history (only Wayne Gretzky has more) and has one the league scoring title five times.

After a two year absence because of the pandemic, the Sport Card Expo makes its return after several years of attracting fans from across North America.

Billed as the largest sports collectibles show in Canada, the expo features 100,000 sq-ft feet of memorabilia and activities with over 200 dealers from across North America offering a wide-variety of both vintage collectibles and cards as well as the latest releases.

Also, several sport card manufacturers will be on hand presenting contests and give-aways of some of their latest product.

The expo runs from June 2 (4 p.m. to 8 p.m.), June 4 (10 a.m. to 6 p.m.) and June 5 (10 a.m. to 5 p.m.). Ticket prices vary.
