Minor hockey coach faces sex charges in Brampton

A 26-year-old Brampton hockey coach has been arrested and charged in connection with a sexual exploitation investigation.

Peel Regional Police said they received information on April 16 regarding two young players in a local hockey league that were allegedly sexually exploited and lured during interactions with their hockey coach.

Following an investigation, police arrested Joshua Sammut, 26, of Brampton. He has been charged with two counts of sexual exploitation and two counts of child luring.

Sammut was held for a bail hearing and will appear in Brampton court.
